What Our Customers Think
No, this machine can produce paper bowls within the size range of a top diameter of 90–150 mm, a bottom diameter of 80–130 mm, and a height of 45–135 mm. Smaller bowls can be produced on a paper cup machine, Newsmart-200, while larger ones require a large-paper bucket machine, XZT-150BW.
Yes. The machine is specially designed for producing durable paper bowls used for hot food applications such as instant noodles, soup containers, rice bowls, and takeaway meals. With stable forming technology and strong bottom sealing performance, the finished bowls offer reliable leak resistance and excellent structural strength for hot food packaging.
Our high speed full servo paper bowl forming machine can handle a wide range of paper thicknesses and coatings to meet different food packaging needs. It supports PE, PLA,PP, water base coating food-grade papers suitable for disposable bowls. The machine ensures stable forming and strong bonding for all paper types, including single-layer and double-wall bowls. This flexibility allows manufacturers to produce high-quality bowls for soup, salad, noodles, and other takeaway foods while maintaining consistent quality and efficiency.
Technical Guide to Full-Servo Paper Bowl Forming Machines
Full-servo Technology vs Conventional Mechanical Systems:
-Higher production stability
-Lower mechanical wear
-Easier maintenance procedures
-Lower power consumption
-More accurate forming quality
-Reduced downtime during operation
- High Efficiency and Stability: Our servo-operated machines are more precise, stable, faster, and have a lower failure rate compared to traditional mechanical machines. Mechanical operating machines are made of metal; excessive speed can cause thermal expansion and contraction, leading to various malfunctions. For example, gears can be damaged, causing problems. Therefore, mechanical operating machines cannot operate at excessively high speeds. Exceeding the speed limit will result in machine failure.
- Simple Operation: Mechanical machines use gears, chains, and pulleys to drive the machine. If a component malfunctions and collides with the machine, the mechanical structure will retain inertia. It will cause other components to shift and result in misalignment. This needs adjustment. Our servo-operated machines have independent operating components. For example, if force is applied to a component, the machine will automatically release the force. Then it will alarm and stop. Nest presses the reset button on the control panel to return to the origin, and the machine can start running again. No wrenches are needed to adjust the machine’s components.
- Easy Maintenance: For mechanically operated machines, the gears and grooves under the machine body need to be immersed in lubricating oil. All lubricating oil needs to be changed every few months. Our fully servo-operated machines are clean and do not have oil under the machine body. We only let the oil box be full. It can be used for three to four months.
- Energy Saving: If we compare the power consumption of a high-speed paper bowl making machine, the power consumption of mechanical operation is about 37 kilowatts per hour, while the power consumption of our servo-operated machine is only 18 kilowatts.
Because each working station functions independently, machine adjustments become significantly easier. If one station requires maintenance or adjustment, it does not heavily affect the entire machine system. This greatly improves production efficiency and reduces maintenance complexity.
Bowl Size Compatibility and Production Range
A standard paper bowl forming machine is designed for medium and large disposable paper bowls. Typical production ranges include:
-Top Diameter: 90–150 mm
-Bottom Diameter: 80–130 mm
-Height: 45–135 mm
This size range covers many popular food packaging products, including noodle bowls, soup containers, salad bowls, takeaway food containers, and rice bowls.
Products smaller than this range are generally better suited for paper cup machines, while oversized containers and large food buckets require specialized large bucket forming machines.
Choosing the correct machine size range is important because it directly affects production stability, forming precision, and overall operational efficiency.
Paper Material Compatibility
Modern paper bowl forming machines support a wide range of food-grade packaging materials. Commonly used paper materials include:
-Single PE/PLA/PP/Waterbased-coated paper
-Double PE-coated paper
-White cupstock/Kraft or bamboo food packaging paper
Paper thickness compatibility typically ranges from 170gsm to 320gsm, depending on product design and application requirements.
The machine’s feeding and forming systems must maintain stable paper transportation throughout high-speed operation. Servo-driven feeding systems help reduce paper deviation, improve forming precision, and minimize waste during production.
For hot food applications such as noodle bowls and soup containers, strong bottom sealing and stable sidewall forming are especially important. Proper heating control and forming pressure ensure excellent leak resistance and structural strength.
Maintenance process of XZT-150W full-servo paper bowl forming machine
With proper maintenance, a high-quality full-servo fully automatic paper bowl machine can maintain reliable operation for more than 10 years.
Routine maintenance procedures typically include:
-Cleaning forming stations
-Inspecting heating systems
-Checking servo motor conditions
-Filling the Lubricating oil every 3-4 months.
-Monitoring air pressure systems
-Inspecting paper feeding parts
A professional after-sales support team also plays an important role in maintaining long-term machine stability.
Benefits of energy-efficient servo systems include:
-Lower electricity consumption
-Reduced heat generation
-Lower operating costs
-Improved production efficiency
-Reduced mechanical friction
For manufacturers focused on long-term cost control, energy-efficient production equipment provides significant operational advantages.
Applications in the Food Packaging Industry
Paper bowl forming machines are widely used across multiple food packaging sectors, including:
-Instant noodle packaging
-Soup bowl production
-Rice bowl manufacturing
-Salad container production
-Fast-food takeaway packaging
-Catering food containers
